| Green gas from remnants of sugar beet |

Suiker Unie will begin producing renewable gas during this beet campaign using two methane reactors, in Dinteloord and Vierverlaten. Energy producer Essent will buy green gas certificates from Suiker Unie for a period of five years. For both companies it is the first time they will make use of the trading platform operated by Vertogas, the new certifying body for green gas.

| Aviko and Eurofrits strengthen ties and seek customer benefits in Iberian alliance |
Aviko, based in Holland, and Eurofrits from Spain have reached a cooperation agreement resulting in an alliance for the Iberian Peninsula. For this purpose Aviko will take a financial stake in the Eurofrits company.

| Cosun maintains position as a healthy cooperative with strong foundations |
Cosun achieved net turnover for 2008 of € 1,689 million (2007: € 1,713 million). Loss of turnover following the sale of Unifine Sauces & Spices was largely compensated for by higher turnover at a number of other Cosun business groups. Operating profit fell by 14% to € 86 million.

| Suiker Unie given green light to buy German sugar producer |
Suiker Unie, a member of Royal Cosun, has reached agreement with Nordzucker on the acquisition of the Danisco Sugar facility in Anklam (northeast Germany). The German competition authority approved the transaction today. The acquisition concerns an independent company with its own sugar quota, customer base, sugar factory and related bio-ethanol production plant.

| Royal Cosun announces beet price and distribution on shares for 2008 |
The Board of Royal Cosun has set the price for quota beet from the 2008 campaign at € 39.44 per tonne. The beet price was announced during the meeting of the cooperative's members' council in Nijkerk. A distribution will also be made on old shares of € 0.25 per tonne of quota beet.
