Knowledge management
Re-using existing knowledge, sharing it and creating new knowledge and expertise does not happen by itself. CFTC is a leader in the smart use of knowledge. It has invested in software (Sharepoint) to provide authorised Cosun-wide access to internal and external R&D expertise and know-how.
Programme managers – senior CFTC staff members – mobilise all knowledge and expertise available in-house to serve ‘their’ clients. The programme managers are partly key account managers and partly knowledge brokers.
Expert groups are formed within Cosun in areas that overlap several business groups. Their meetings are facilitated by CFTC. Experts (people wanting and providing ‘hands-on’ expertise) meet each other, share information and work together. Personal contacts are complemented with modern ICT such as Sharepoint. An example of such an expert group is the preservation platform.
