Cooperative members pay working visit to Sensus

9 November 2012
On the last day of October, Cosun's members' council paid a working visit to the Sensus factory in Roosendaal. More than 60 members of the cooperative's district committees took a tour round the site and production facilities. René Schunselaar led one of the groups: 'They asked all the right questions, a sign that they are really interested in what we do and how we do it.'

Sensus is in robust health. The world market for inulin is still growing and Sensus knows how to capitalise on it. The company commands a strong position and is still consolidating its strengths. It is developing new applications and recipes together with its customers in the food industry. The customers make strict demands on the quality of the inulin they purchase and process. Sensus knows that it must work to the highest standards and has designed its production process to meet them. It also meets its customers' high demands when it comes to sustainability, safety and hygiene.
Quality begins with the raw material: chicory. René Schunselaar: 'From the very beginning, we gave top priority to advising our growers. And we will continue to do so. Our growers want a good price for their crops every year. And it's in our interest to have enough chicory of the right quality. It's an excellent starting point for cooperation that benefits us all.'
