Growth strategy reflected on Cosun's Executive Board

5 April 2013
Royal Cosun has released capacity on its Executive Board with a view to achieving its ambition of innovating more and faster. The decision has prompted a reshuffle on the Executive Board.

Cosun's ambition is to grow through organic expansion, innovation and acquisitions that strengthen the group. To this end, it has invested in the development of new activities that fall outside the scope of the existing business groups but complement the strategy of maximising the value of Cosun's agricultural raw materials.

Gert de Raaff, member of the Executive Board, will now concentrate almost exclusively on innovation and new business development, encouraging and monitoring innovation and development within the business groups and setting priorities at Cosun level. He will also remain responsible for monitoring the group strategy and encouraging developments that contribute to it.

Maaike van den Maagdenberg, Secretary to the Executive Board, has assumed Gert's responsibilities for acquiring and divesting businesses and business units. She has a wealth of experience in acquisition and in her new position will manage the Corporate Development department and the head of the Legal Affairs department.
