Cosun appoints new Chairman of the Supervisory Board

On 12 June Jakob Bartelds has been appointed Chairman of Royal Cosun’s Supervisory Board. He succeeded Watze van der Zee.

On 4 June Mr van der Zee retired from Royal Cosun’s Supervisory Board upon reaching the maximum permitted term of office of 12 years as member.
The Supervisory Board appoints its Chairman from amongst its own members. During the first meeting in its new composition, it appointed Jakob Bartelds as Mr Van der Zee´s successor.

Mr Bartelds is a member of Cosun and runs an arable farm with his wife, brother and nephew in Tweede Exloërmond (Drenthe). In addition to his duties as a member of Cosun’s Supervisory Board, Mr Bartelds is active as an administrator in the arable farming division of the Dutch Federation of Agriculture and Horticulture LTO North and LTO Netherlands, the Hunze en Aa water authority, the Fagoed Foundation and Agriver Hagelverzekeringen, the agricultural insurer.
