Nutrition, food production and innovation take centre stage during this week. These themes fit well with Cosun and its strategy: producing food and food ingredients and innovating continuously. As a partner, we will showcase our activities from farm to fork and contribute to the dialogue on more complex topics such as the footprint of our food.
Dutch Food Week 2022
Cosun was a lead partner of Dutch Food Week 2022 as well. At the market in Den Bosch, burgers with rösti and fries with vegetarian yellow curry from the Aviko Foodtruck formed the basis for a good conversation between visitors, our growers and colleagues. Later that week, we received a delegation at one of our growers in Almkerk at the invitation of Provincial Agriculture Commissioner Elies Lemkes-Straver. During this innovation tour, this group learned about the farm and the challenges growers face. Here, Mike Vermeer, Senior Innovation Manager at Cosun, spoke about the innovative applications of potatoes, sugar beet and chicory.
We look forward again this year to working with our growers and partners to show how we are working together to produce and develop our food. Dutch Food Week will take place from 7 to 14 October 2023 and is an initiative of Top Sector Agri&Food.
